Marion has been working with the Berlin based artist Projeto Solo / Keren Chernizon in five of her productions: In her solo The Ripe and Ruin, the duet Eight, the group piece Shell shock, in Big boys don´t cry… but when they do? and in her latest piece Die Vergänglichkeit der Gänseblümchen (engl.: The Transience of the Daisies).

Their collaboration started 2011 in Berlin and continued ever since.

 

Keren Chernizon Born in Sao Paulo (Brazil) in 1985, Keren has a Bachelor Degree in Media Studies and a Master Degree in Photography with a specialization in Visual Anthropology. Before establishing herself as a filmmaker and film editor she gathered her professional experience working for many years as a producer in different broadcasters in Brazil, pursuing later a career as a photojournalist collaborating on assignments for newspapers and magazines around the world. Her photography work was published on printed and online form. Today living in Berlin she is working as a documentary filmmaker and film editor/colorist. Her current (in production) hybrid documentary film Rebbellion was selected to take part at Esodoc (European Social Documentary), IDFAcademy, Pitching du Reel, Go East Festival and Baltic Sea Docs training programs. She is also the founder and creator of Projeto SOLO, a media company specialized in audiovisual creations for dance and theater performances. In its six years of existence, she created dance films, had international solo exhibitions and collaborated with choreographers and theater directors on the creation of visual projections for live performances that went on tour in Europe, Asia and South America.

 

Elli Stelzer is the photographer and multimedia artist Marion has been collaborating in the piece Stilles Ich - Silent me performed by the Tanzcompagnie Volkstheater Rostock

 

Elli Stelzer is a trained photographer specialising in dance and performance photography. She lives and works in Berlin. In her pictures, she aims to capture the grace, strength, dynamism and fragility of bodies, and above all the individual expression of her subjects. To allow character and emotion to unfold in front of the camera, Elli particularly appreciates the impulse of improvised movement. Alongside dance photography, she has also been exploring analogue processes and theoretical approaches to photography.

 
 
 

Agente Costura / Lisa Simpson is a Berlin based costume designer, musician and artist who has been collaborating with Marion Sparber in four projects so far: in her latest piece Die Vergänglichkeit der Gänseblümchen (engl.: The Transience of the Daisies) as costume designer, in the piece Equinox as costume designer and live-musician on stage and in Nefelibata as well as Kleider machen Leute as musician and performer with her musical saw, which is a quite outstanding and unusual musical instrument. As costume designer she focuses on upcycling to create art and work sustainable at the same time.

 

Agente Costura / Lisa Simpson has been playing the Singer, a sewing machine, since 2003. In the daytime she tackles unwanted clothing, pins them down and cuts them up, transforming them into new wearable shapes. By transforming wardrobes she is questioning contemporary consumption habits, bringing forth a discussion around the sustainability of the fashion industry. At nighttime the Singer joins her fellow musicians and Lisa sews to the beat of the music, improvising on clothing based on rhythm and sound. The prepared sewing machine is amplified to become a musical instrument and layers of sound are looped as layers of fabric are stitched together, creating a dreamlike soundscape, enhanced by self built wearable oscillators and feedback machines.

Lisa has a Bachelor degree in Visual Arts from Universidade Tuiuti do Paraná, a Master of Applied Arts degree from Emily Carr University of Art and Design, and is a graduate of the Institute for Art in Context at Universität der Künste Berlin. Lisa is a guest lecturer for Sound Studies at UdK. She has performed extensively on an international level, including Goethe Institut Jakarta, Schneidertempel Istanbul, Akademie der Künste, HKW, The Vancouver Art Gallery, Museum der Fünf Kontinente Munich, the Bimhuis Amsterdam, Curitiba Fashion Week, among others. Lisa currently lives and works in Berlin, and is involved in a range of different projects in collaboration with artists and interested audiences.

 

Stefano Ciardi is an other Berlin based collaborator of Marion Sparber who plays his live-electronics in five of her pieces. He performs in Marion´s piece Von Anfang an der Dreiklangfang which toured through Italy, Germany and Austria and composed the original music for Stilles Ich - Silent me at Volkstheater Rostock as well as for Blueprint and recorded text and sound for her solo Die Vergänglichkeit der Gänseblümchen (the transience of the daisies). This summer he will be composing music for Marion Sparber´s upcoming dance-film F.I.A.S.O.M - Freedom is a state of mind.

 

Stefano Ciardi is an italian musician, composer, sound designer and sound engineer. He began studying classical guitar from the age of 14 and electric bass and double bass from the age of 16, subsequently playing in numerous musical projects, both in Italy and in EU. In 2003 he began his studies at the University of Florence, Faculty of Letters and Philosophy. At the same time, he began studying Electronic Music and New Technologies applied to the Audio. In 2007, together with Luana Gramegna (choreographer) and Francesco Givone (scenographer), he founded the company Zaches Teatro, Florence (Italy). Since 2010 it has been supported by the Region of Tuscany from which it receives its annual contribution. It has been recognized by the Ministry of Culture for the three-year period 2015/2017 as a Dance Company and from 2021 as a Figure and Image Theater Production Company. With Zaches Teatro he has made numerous artistic Productions of Contemporary Dance and Theater for Adults and Children which won numerous awards. In 2014 he moved to Berlin, starting to collaborate with various choreographers and directors, within contemporary dance and theater productions. 2014 He composed the music for LIVEN by Martina Garbelli and Annukka Hirvonen, 2015 O tempo rói by Costanza Givone, 2015 and 2016 Strange by Stella Zannou, 2016 Memini by Emmanouela Dolianiti and Yuya Fujinami, who, in 2017, won the Best Duo at the Internationales SoloDuo Festival, 2017 Cosmo by Clara Gracia / Natasha Nixon, 2018 Ethereal I by Emmanouela Dolianiti and Yuya Fujinami, directed by Hristina Vasić Tomše, co-produced by Constanza Macras-Dorky Park and 2019 Ethereal II by Emmanouela Dolianiti and Yuya Fujinami. In 2016 he founded SUMStudio, Berlin (Germany), a Music Laboratory/ Recording Studio where, in addition to constantly seeking new sounds for their compositions, it also produces other musical projects as an artistic producer and sound engineer. In 2023 he worked on a new musical project called Body language, a sound research between the sound of the human body and music.

Arash Khodayari is an allround artist who collaborates with Marion in her piece Die Vergänglichkeit der Gänseblümchen (The transience of the daisies).

 

Arash Khodayari is a multi instrumentalist musician using instruments like (trumpet, musical saw ,jaws harp, harmonica ,synthesizer),he is a independent international artist which specially works on experimental and modern music while using acustic instruments with electronic and ambient music. With combining some folk instruments in electronic is bringing a new color to live performance


Ana Root is an allround artist who dances and performs herself as well as expresses with her voice and music. She plays several instruments and performs as musician and dancer in Marion´s piece No, woman, no cry… but when they do? and as a musician in her duet Seelengrund.

 

Ana Root is a musican and dancer since she has been a child. Her training has revolved around classical ballet, contemporary dance, flamenco, butoh dance and odissi, a classical dance from India, where she lived for seven years. On the African continent, Mali, Senegal and Burkina Faso, she found the right space to develop her most recent music, body percussion, voice and dance projects. Ana Root is the voice of the musical project Yemadas, a world music band that has already released five albums. It was during this project that she developed her passion for music, having a natural gift for playing different instruments such as the ukulele, space drums and multi-percussions. He has lived and worked artistically in various countries, until he put down roots in the south of Portugal, where he currently lives in a community. With his partner Tiago Rouxinol, he develops circles of world songs and body percussion, with the aim of integrating rhythm into the body as an instrument, in groups of people. Percussionist, voice and dancing body, on the album Lusitana by Mariana Root, her sister, a musical project dedicated to Portuguese roots. At the invitation of Madalena Victorino, she has developed choreographic and musical projects such as Rastilho, Mar Adentro, Evaporo 2, Quando, Dancing, A Cantora Deitada in the context of the cultural project Lavrar o Mar. Recently, she has been a musical creator and actress in the play No, by Giacomo Scalisi. In the world of Contact Improvisation, she has been playing for workshops and jams, at the Contact Improvisation Gathering in Lake Atitlan (Guatemala) and in Portugal.
